Wendy Davis
Geriatric Care Manager
Wendy always knew she was meant to help others. After experiencing the loss of her mother at a young age, she discovered a deep calling to support people through difficult life transitions—particularly those brought on by health challenges or aging. This personal experience shaped her lifelong commitment to serving others with compassion and advocacy.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Western Michigan University in 1994 and soon pursued nursing school. While working as a CNA during that time, she discovered her passion for caring for older adults. She developed a soft spot for helping seniors adapt to changes and live their best lives—both through hands-on care and by guiding families through complex decision-making. Wendy later earned her Care Management certification in Aging through the Boston University School of Geriatric Social Work and received her Diabetes Education certification at Emory University.
Wendy began her career at Northern Michigan Hospital and partnered with the Area Agency on Aging to coordinate a long-term care program for elderly and disabled individuals. She conducted assessments, connected clients to resources, and worked to enhance their quality of life. In 2006, she relocated to Atlanta to be closer to family and joined the Atlanta Area Agency on Aging. For the next 19 years, she counseled seniors and caregivers, helping them navigate healthcare decisions and advocating for the best outcomes.
Wendy is a member of the Georgia Gerontology Society and is well-connected with a wide range of professionals serving older adults across Atlanta.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling—especially to the beach—kayaking, and baking specialty cupcakes, a hobby she picked up while helping a friend’s wedding cake business. She is also a devoted animal lover with two pets of her own.
