Jeannine Fergusson, RN, BSN, CDP, CMC
Advanced Professional Aging Life Care Manager

Jeannine brings a rare blend of clinical expertise and leadership experience to her work with older adults and their families. Before nursing, she built a successful career in Human Resources leadership in the high-tech and software engineering industry, developing the leadership and organizational skills that shape her approach to care management today.

As a registered nurse, Jeannine has practiced in acute care oncology, intensive care, and both field and inpatient hospice. This experience gives her valuable perspective as she guides families through challenging transitions such as from hospital to home, rehabilitation, or skilled nursing. Her keen assessment skills help her recognize subtle changes, anticipate needs, and make timely recommendations.

Jeannine begins each relationship with thoughtful curiosity, seeking to understand family dynamics, goals, and each client's physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs. She coordinates care at home and guides transitions to assisted living and memory care, skillfully managing the many moving parts with trusted partners for in-home care, medical equipment, safety and community services. She coaches families through difficult decisions and offers steady support in times of crisis. Across the full spectrum of care, Jeannine is a strong advocate, keeping each client's wishes, dignity, and independence at the center of every decision.

Jeannine holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas and a BS in Nursing from Mercer University. She is Care Manager Certified through the National Academy of Certified Care Managers, a Certified Dementia Practitioner, and an Advanced Professional member of the Aging Life Care Association.

 

Outside of work, she treasures time with her family.
