Deidre Knotts, LMSW
Geriatric Care Manager

Deidre is a Geriatric Care Manager with over 13 years’ experience supporting and advocating for older adults and their families and helping them navigate the complexities of aging. Her passion is helping older adults age with dignity by finding areas of joy and creativity. Her approach is holistic and family-centered, providing a thorough assessment and expert guidance to make sure all the client’s medical, emotional and social needs are met with compassion.

Over the years, Deidre has trained with the National Alzheimer’s Association. With this training, she led a caregiver’s support group for people with dementia and their families. She led this group for over 12 years and spoke at several churches and assisted living facilities on topics related to the “twists and turns” in caregiving for loved ones with all types of dementia.

​

Most recently, Deidre served as a hospice social worker to assist patients and families with end-of-life planning. She counseled with many family members on grief and its impact both physically and mentally.

​

Deidre is a native who has watched Atlanta change into an international city with much diversity. Deidre currently lives in Roswell with her husband; they have two adult sons. Deidre loves to travel, paint, explore the outdoors, and to spend time with her family.
